Application Period for Small Business Tax Credit Opens December 1st

December 1st marks the beginning of the application period for the Small Business Tax Credit allowing up to $100,000 per business. 

Credit Reservations Are Required:
To receive a tax credit tentative reservation, qualifying small businesses need to apply to the
California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) between December 1, 2020, and January 15, 2021.
Reservations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.

How the Credit Works:
An eligible small business can receive $1,000 in credit for each net new hire that occurred during the second half of 2020,
up to $100,000 per business.  This tax credit can be used against personal and corporate income tax liabilities
OR sales and use tax liabilities from the 2020 tax year.

Application Period Begins April 28th, 2021 for Round 6

Wednesday, April 28th at 9:00am through Tuesday, May 4th at 5:00pm
Notifications will begin Friday, May 7th

Eligible Grant Awards: 
$5,000 to $25,000

Details: Applicants not selected to receive a grant in Rounds 1, 2, 3, & 5 do not need to re-apply and will be automatically moved into Round 6. New applicants will need to apply on the website. This Program is funded by the State of California and administered by CalOSBA.
